For ages birth through 3 years. Staffed by a paid worker and a volunteer. All nursery workers have been background checked and Safe Sanctuary trained.
A Montessori style class for our preschool children. Children move through various stations while exploring Bible stories.
The children are discovering "How to Use My Bible." Each child is encouraged to bring a Bible to Sunday School each week.
Our middle and senior high youth are studying the Cokesbury "Groove" series.
Comprised of adults from 40s-70s the format is informal. Topics are a changing range from contemporary to Biblical subjects, with discussion and application to everyday. The group is opinionated, energetic and open in sharing real-life experiences and perspectives regarding the study material. This offers real learning experiences and helps the class members grow spiritually.
This class is active and has fun not only in Sunday School, but also through multiple social opportunities during the year. For those searching for an open and engaging class, give Christian Endeavors a try!
The Friends in Faith class is a relatively new class formed by Pastor Ken and his wife Kathy, targeting younger adults and parents of young children. We meet in room 200, upstairs in the education building (far end of the building) at 10:00 on Sundays. Right now, we are studying Spiritual Gifts.
A fun-loving & compassionate group of mostly age 40+ adults that study Bible based literature with emphasis on current events and family. We stress service to others and to our church to spread God's word.
Another option for adults.
Comprised of single and married adults who are interested in deepening their walk with Jesus through in-depth Bible study and applying scripture to daily living. Our studies are typically 6-8 weeks, beginning with a short video followed by a heartfelt discussion. We rotate leadership among those interested in leading and class curriculum is selected by the group. We happily welcome any new members to join our class.
"Help carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will obey the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2. Membership: We like to joke that we are a class of "under 30"--and have been for fifty years! (Our average age now is about 65.) Our membership consists of both couples and singles. Some have been in the class for nearly fifty years, while others are newcomers. Teachers and curriculum: several class members serve as our teachers. We engage in Bible study from time to time; we vary our course of study by examining contemporary issues from a Biblical perspective.
The Pathfinders class is like a large family. A designated class member helps us share concerns, joys, news, etc. via the internet. Women who are able, meet for lunch each Friday. In addition, we have a book club that meets monthly at the Easley Public Library.
The men of the Pathfinders' class meet each Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Bojangles for breakfast.
The women of the Pathfinders' class meet each Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Panera Bread for lunch.
Please join us for lively discussion and warm fellowship.
This class is a mix of senior adults, couples as well as singles. The "Adult Bible Studies," based on the International Sunday School Lesson for Christian Teaching, is led by members of the class. Periodic outings provide times for informal fun and fellowship. Members of the Mt. Olivet class are very active within the leadership of our church, as well as volunteering in many outreach programs in our community. We invite others to visit and/or join us as we strive to "Grow in Christ. Reach out to others."
Our group includes adults of all ages, college through retiree. Open discussions are based on national and international current events, faith issues and other contemporary issues.
